Among its features, the D300 has a Live View, in-camera Lateral Chromatic Aberration and 920,000 pixel, 3-inch LCD. This LCD also serves as an electronic mirror in the pentaprism.
There’s the Scene Recognition System that merges data from the AF system with data from the 1,005-point metering system. Nikon’s Multi-CAM 3500DX AF system is featured as well. Its 51-point “precision focus” AF points include 15 cross-type points.
The Multi-CAM system can be set to five modes on the Nikon D300. Nikon includes its 1,005-area metering sensor in this model. It has 14-bit A/D conversion available in RAW mode.
The Nikon D300 has a system called AF fine tune, where the camera can store adjustments for up to 12 lenses. There’s also the ability to control the camera from a computer remotely, and that includes receiving a Live View image from the camera. Nikon’s new models require the optional Camera Control Pro software to enable this feature.
The D300 is capable of six frames-per-second, and up to eight fps when used with the MB-D10 Multi-Power battery pack.

The Nikon D3 Digital SLR Camera was designed primarily with sports photographers and photojournalists in mind, which obviously means a special emphasis in high speed, high motion situations and so on.

It includes the brand new EXPEED image processing System created to increase speed in general functioning as well as the processing power speeding.
By setting the camera to its built-in options of Lo-1 or Hi-2, the ISO range of the camera can be expanded to the equivalent of ISO 100 or ISO 25,600 accordingly, aiming versatility in practically any shooting situation.
The D3 also features an entirely new 51-point auto focus system with Nikon’s 3D Focus Tracking feature and two new LiveView shooting modes that allow photographers to frame a photograph using the camera’s high- resolution LCD monitor. The D3 uses the world’s first Scene Recognition System to greatly enhance the accuracy of auto focus , auto exposure and auto white balance detection in the camera by recognizing the subject or scene being photographed and applying this information to the calculations for the three functions.
