As the name suggests, this is a lighter version of the Nintendo DS. The manufacturer claims that the screen is now brighter and the battery life, longer. (Size is actually 2/3 less than the original model and 20 percent lighter.)
It features a sharper, brighter screen with 4 adjustable brightness levels, a longer, thicker stylus and redesigned controls. DS Lite also boasts up to nine hours more battery life (dependent on user settings) than the original DS and a quicker recharge time.
